Åmnes Skjærgårdscamping (skerries camping) is situated at Meløy, the Northern community of Helgeland, 30 Km from trunk road RV 17, at the church og "Halsa". The Camping areas lies in between a beautiful beach, and mountains marked for excursions. The sailing entrance is close by. 9000 years old engravings in the sourrounding area, great nature events around the skerries with boat, and good fishing opportunities close to shore. Possibilities for atletic activities in a distanse of 500 meters.
Day tours to glacier, "Engenbreen", which is connected to "Svartisen". It is situated at the lowest altitude in Europe, and is easily reacheed. Arrangements can be made for guided tours on the glacier. 40 km by car plus 10 minutes by boat.
You can drive to the mountain, "Glomfjordfjellet", where you will find a unique nature, and the larges dam-construction of its kind in the world. Guided tour at the power station.
At the camping area, you can enjoy the view with evening atmosphere and midnight sun.
