Wheelalignment is essential
for the bike to go straight, and its not hard to fix.
The chain adjustment should be a part of your chainlubing rutine, and is even easy to
preform.

Excessive chain wear,
banging noises,
oil-leaks around the output shaft (front sproket),
noise and vibrations in general,
and the suspension will not travel as normal.

General instabillity,
Bike feels different turning right and left,
and in extreme cases, the chain may damage your tyre or chassisparts. |

So, how to fix it:
The chain adjustment is described in your bikemanual. Its all
there. If you dont have the manual, buy a haynes or clymer manual. They're worth the
bucks.
The wheel alignement is a little more tricky.
Put a straight object against the rear tyre, in spindle hight, and make it touch the sides
of the tyre, and make it overlap the front tyre too.
When the wheels are aligned, the gap wil be the same size in front as the back.
If the gap is not the same, adjust the rearwheel till its aligned.
Remember to check the chainadjsutment after you've aligned the wheel.
