The adjustment of the headrace is one of the most common faults on bikes.
you should check it regularly, cuz the bike is extremly sensitive to inacurate adjusted headrace.

The symptoms of a  loose headrace: The symptoms of a tight headrace:
Clicking and ticking from the top yolk area during braking.
Handlebare wobbles,
Poor low speed steering
High speed weave,
Slow changes of directions

So, how to fix it:
Place your bike on the centrestand, and elevate the front wheel by supporting the bike, or put your large friend on the pillion seat.
Grab the fork just above the wheel spindle, and then you push & pull the fork feeling for any play in the headstock.
If you have a movment, This means your headrace is too loose. Loosen the top yolk, and tighten the collar, wich is located under the top yolk. retighten the top yolk.
If you cant feel any play, try to move the handlebars from right to left in an even motion. It should move freely, without any kind of friction or hessitation. If its not, loosen the top yolk, and loosen the collar.
adjust the collar until there are no play, and no friction.
