Motorcycles.
| My first experience with motorcycles was a
1966 Tempo Corvette 50cc. I got it for free cuz the gearbox was jammed. I tore the engine,
and the rest of the bike down, and, I never got it back together. Might have been cuz i
didn't know enough about bikes, or that I was more interested in driving than fiddling
with nuts and bolts and stuff. That was back in 1985/86, and i was 17/18. Not much more happened on the MC-front untill i served my time in the army as a military police. This driving school offered me the MC-license with a 70% discount and i couldn't resist. So in november 1989 i got my license! So in august 1993 i found out that it was time to buy my first bike. I ended up with a 1978 Suzuki GS550E. Not much, but just right for me that was virtually without MC-experience. In june 1994 I had had enough of the small underpowered little bugger, and sold it, just to buy myself a 1982 Honda V45Sabre, or VF750S as its called in Europe. I loved the bike! A V4, with power all over, lots of fun, just a plan awsome great ride! So, this spring i found out that it was time for a change. I wanted an upgrade, and the dream was to get a newer Honda V4, more specific a VFR. For a long time i thought i had to settle for a CBR, but as they say pray and you shall have, and a classmate comes to me and offers me a 1993 dead-red Honda VFR750Fp for the same price i would have paid for the 1993/94 CBR i was looking at. It was an offer I couldn't refuse, and mid june it was mine! So, here i am, with the bike of my dreams. Sure i wouldn't mind a 96/97 VFR750F or a 98/99 VFR800, thats not the point. I'm still driving a Honda V4, and i got a bike that will be my trusty companion for many years. |
