this is usually caused by you having turned on the Display 'System' Folder option.
Turn this off again, and you should experience a substantial speed increase... |
Terminal Hinge Syndrome |
The hinges on the S5 machines are somewhat weak. They can begin to crack. If this happens you should send it in as soon as possible.(At least if it's still under warranty) |

The nice surface coating may start to peel off. Particularly around the edges. Some says this is an construction defect, and others say that it looks better without the skin. |
| Stylus | If the stylus get stuck(or don't fasten in the lock) the lockmechanism have stuck. it can be unstuck by:
1. Grab hold on the edge directly beneath the RS232 symbol on the back of the machine.
2. Pull carfully downwards carefully(max 0,5mm)
3. The lock should then unlock...
BTW If you pull too hard you will break your machine... |
Program that don't quit |
If the program don't obey [Ctrl]+[E], you might try:
1. If the program is created in OPL you can first try pressing [Ctrl]+[Esc]
2. If this don't help you might try:
3. Change to the system screen, select the program in the open files dialog.
4. Press [Shift]+[Ctrl]+[E].
5. Answer Yes on te warning about this being 'emergency only'.
6. If this don't work it's time to bring out the heavy artillery:
7. Change back to the program and press [Fn]+[Shift]+[Ctrl]+[K].
8. Don't press this in the system screen unless you really want a 'soft reset' |
