| Word preferences |
If you have several 'Styles' that you often use, you can create a dokument
Normal and copy it into the folder C:\System\Apps\Word\ |
| Screendump | To create a picture of the screen press [Fn]+[Ctrl]+[Shift]+[S].
You will then get a dialog asking for a filename and if it's Grayscale, or monochrome.
The file can now be loaded into Sketch by using Merge in... as EPOC Picture |
System Folder |
Many programs requires a manual install...
All you have is a lot of files, and a cryti message telling you to put the files in C:\System\Apps\Somethin_or_other.
The only problem being that you aren't able to find the System Folder...
To find it you must go to the Menus in the System Screen, and select the Tols dropdown menu, and the Preferences... choice.
In the dialog box that comes select the Display 'System' folder option, an close the dialog with Ok.
The system folder will now be visible.

Batteries and Lastability |
1. If you often use graphical applications you should not use Ni-Cad rechargeable.
this because these batteries lose the voltage very quickly at the end. You might experience that the machine turns itself off at the same time as you
get the replace batteries message.
2. When you get the message Replace Batteries don't take out the empty batteries before you have found the replacements...
The shorter time it takes to change batteries, the longer the life of the backup battery!
3. Allways carry spares. This is especially important if you use rechargeable batteries.(They usually die more suddenly :-)

- 7 and 8 Crossconnected to the other end.

PC-Card Adapter, Batteries and Cell Phones |
Do you use one of these adapters? Do you happen to leave the phone connected to the adapter?
In that case, you're quite probably wasting your batteries...
If you listen to the Adapter, you will hear a low buzzing sound. The adapter WILL NOT turn off until you unplug the phone!
It also looks like the phone drains it's batteries faster too...
(At least it looks that way to me)

Internet connections and multiple Mailboxes |
If you have several mailboxes, you have probably noticed that you have to close the open mailbox to open another, and this usually disconnects you from the internet
unless you also happen to have the Browser started as well...
This can be fixed by going into the Control panel and selecting the Internet icon.
Make certain that the 'On Exit, stay connected for' box is not zero... ( I use 15 seconds :-)
Then you will have a few seconds to close one mailbox, and open another without loosing the connection...
