(04.11.98): David Eddings - Guardians of the West
Book 1 of 'the Malloreon'. Managed just recently to get the book I lacked in 'the Belgariad' series, and when I finished it I couldn't stop... Don't have the book? Your loss!
(11.11.98): Piers Anthony - Crewel Lye, Heaven Cent, Isle of View and Demons don't Dream
Went berserk in Avalon again... All the books are from 'Pier Xanthony's Xanth Series. Humorous Fantasy. If you read the book descriptions, you might think that it's childrens books... Not so! Some of those books can give anyone wet dreams...
(13.11.98): Gordon R. Dickson - Soldier, Ask Not
A book in The Childe Cycle. Thrilling and thought provoking military SF...
(21.11.98): David Weber - Flag in Exile
A book in the series about Honor Harrington. Some of the best Military SF ever written. Just hope that I can get hold of the missing books in the series soon.
(28.11.98): L. E. Modesitt Jr. The Magic of Recluce and The Magic Engineer
These books are nr. 1 and 2 in the 'Saga of Recluce'. I really should have written about the first one, but the books were a little too excitig... These books are some of the best Fantasy that I have read. They belong up there with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and Robert Jordan's serie The Wheel of Time
(07.12.98): Terry Pratchett - Carpe Jugulum
('Go for the throat' or something like that :-) No. The book is not about Microsoft's business strategy, but the latest book in the Discworld series. Kept me awake until 4 am... If you like humorous fantasy, you either know the series, or it's about time that you did. PS: The book is only available in hardcover yet, but well worth the extra money!
(29.12.98): L. E. Modesitt Jr. - The Towers of the Sunset
The book is part of the Saga of Recluce. It's the story of how Creslin and Megaera met, and the beginning of Recluce. The book should be sold with a warning that it's extremely habitforming... Since I'm out of unread books from that author, I might get to do something useful. (At least until I visit Avalon again :-)
