1. Start JDeveloper
2. Select View from the main menu and then Connection Navigator
3. Right-click Database and select New Database Connection:
   • as Connection Name, enter Scott
   • as Connection Type, select Oracle (JDBC)
4. Click Next
   • as Username, enter scott
   • as Password, enter tiger
   • check the Deploy Password field
5. Click Next
   • as Driver, select thin
   • as Host Name, enter donald.disney.com
   • as JDBC Port, enter 1521
   • as SID, enter orcl
6. Click Next
7. Click Test Connection - you should see a "Success!" message
8. Click Finish
