Tamiya 14081 Honda NSR 500, Team Pons version made with S27 decals.

This project started October 2000, completed mid December 2000.
I wanted to try Modeler's paints for this bike, so Super White 04 and Real Black 07 was ordered from HLJ. The paints are laquers that dried to a polishable hardness over night and came out really glossy.

I used Alclad II metalizers on the frame and rear swing (aluminium) front forks (copper over a chrome finish) and the middle part of the front brake discs (steel) plus the exhausts (highly polished aluminium) and brake calipers (pale gold)
I also used the Model Master burnt metal metalizer instead of Tamiya X-33. The sliding part of the front forks is bare metal gold foil.

Extra added detail: Gear change linkage replaced with thin wire on the middle. Brake wire replaced with Modeler's brake wire (has metal core ans is slightly thinner) Wiring from gas handle replaced with metal wire as I also did on the Antena3 bike. Adjustment screw added to left handlebar. Slight mods to adapt the new front forks to the old type front fender.
