Tamiya 14076 Yamaha YZR500 Team Red Bull converted into team marlboro bike.

Started summer 2001, finished september 5 2001.
This conversion features a studio 27 decal sheet with Marlboro logo's for either carlos Checa or max Biaggi's bikes. ( as well as Max's 98 Marlboro NSR)

Bodywork painting and decalling
Straightforward assembly according to the instructions, painted white sections with Modeler's C-04 super white, masked off and painted the red sections with Tamiya TS-49 bright red with a little TS-36 fluorescent red mixed in, about 10-15% I guess. A coat of Modeler's clear was airbrushed all over after the decals had been applied.

The Studio27 decals I used (ST-DC 249) was excellent and went down whitout problems.

Been there, done that...
Most of the detailing and painting has been covered in previous YZR builds on this site, but one new thing I did was to add a fuel overflow hose to the tank, made from one of the spark plug caps wich I didn't use anyway, all engine parts and hidden details remain unfinished because I've done several YZR's already, but I'm a GP nut and want as many GP bikes as possible buildt, no collecting by this guy can assure You.
