25/11 1998:
Well it's a sad day for all of us, as Seigmen is breaking up.
Here is a statement from Seigmen-manager Øystein
Ronander:
"Hi
This Is Seigmen´s manager Oystein Ronander. As you have probably
heard by
now, Seigmen is spliting up after a short godbye-tour in the early spring.
A compilation will be released in Norway on the 1st of February. This CD
contains two new songs ("Malmklang" and "Frost-Bite") + the remix version
of Universal, previously unreleased in Norway.
.
.
Oystein Ronander"
You can find Øystein on the Seigmen mailinglist for the next
couple of days, where he will try to answer you questions.
The current tourdates can be found in the Tour-section.

Seigmen recently played at the Roskilde-festival. Sadly, they
had to play at the same time as the Norwegian soccer team
met up with Italy, but a full tent surprised the band. They
had deperately been trying to reshedule the concert, but with
no luck. Here's the setlist (not sure about the exact order of
the songs:)
Malmklang
Colosseum
Fra X til Døden
Universal
Across the Universe
Döderlein
The Modern End
Opelwerk
Mesusah
Performance Alpha

P-machinery
Hjernen er Alene
Seigmen will play at the Zillo-festival in Germany, Sunday
the 16th of August. They will be entering the main stage as
early as 1140. Other acts include: the Cure, And One,
Theatre of Tragedy etc. etc.

Seigmen-article in Norwegian newspaper VG.
06/05 1998:
Once again we bring you some ground-breaking news from
our good friend Otto: Seigmen has now finished their
European tour and, according to Kim Ljung, they were very
satisfied with it. After the Roskilde-festival
, Seigmen will
play on some festival i Hannover, Germany, and a gig in
Moss. In early July they will enter the studio and start
recording a new album! Now that's what I call good news!
07/05 1998:
Thanks to Otto Egil Sætre for todays news: On their current
tour, Seigmen are playing three new songs, "Opelwerk",
"Malmklang" and "Across the Universe", which is an old
Lennon/McCartney text with the "Mørkets Øy"-melody.
There will not be any new Seigmen-albums this year, but
Kim Ljung has told Sætre that they will release an EP around
September, which among other songs will contain a remix of
"Universal". Maybe they will call this one "The Last Wave",
which is the name of the single that was supposed to be
released i January? At least we have something to look
forward to!
This last info is not as much news as it is a reminder: If you
are at Roskilde this year,
you have an excellent opportunity
to watch Seigmen live. At Roskilde you can also watch
Subgud (who has a couple of tracks on some of Seigmen's
singles).
26/04 1998:
Seigmen are currnently on a small European tour. The last
thing I heard is that they were warming up for a Dutch band
called The Gathering in Italy, where they played a 30 minute
set.
