Oldsmobile literature
that I have, read what I mean about it, or send me questions by e-mail ( I also included some pictures - every book contains "something" about 67 Olds)

The first thing to do when you buy an enthusiast car is to get some information about it. To the left is a picture of what I bought within an hour from I got my Oldsmobile

The picture on the right is from when the guy I bought books from checked if my Visa card was ok. I love when technology works in our favor. And my card was ok :-)

Original Olds literature:

This is the original 1967 Service-manual. It is without doubt the most important car literature to have about your car. I bought mine within an hour from I bought my car. It was bound in a nice hard cover.(Hiller book binding company). It is the black book in the picture above

As you might has noticed from the pictures I also bought a Fisher body manual. This not a must have book, but it is a nice complement to the Service manual (shop manual). This book is a reprint an contains info on all 1967 Fisher bodies delivered to General motors assembly plants.

This is the original sales folder. It contains information and pictures on all the 1967 Oldsmobile's. It came in different sizes. "The rocket action cars are out front again.
owners.jpg (6958 bytes) This is what I look forward to put in my new glow compartment. A nice thing to have that unfortunately many car is missing. Sorry to say that my car don't have to many of the options mentioned in this users guide.
rockcirc.jpg (3978 bytes) This is a newsletter from Oldsmobile
vol. 11 nr. 5 1966. This particular Oldsmobile Rocket circle presents the new 1967 Oldsmobile's, with lots of nice pictures. Like it says; show edition.
waranty1.jpg (7156 bytes) This is small folder who specifies the Olds cars warranty for 1967. As usual it tells how Olds is covered with the finest warranty in the industry...
waranty.jpg (7400 bytes) This is the little nice book you are told (in the folder above) to keep your service receipts. It contains warranty and maintenance information and a protecto plate with info about the original (first) owner of the cars. This little book has it's own place in the plastic portion of your cars glow compartment.
color.jpg (3888 bytes) Although it is not a original Olds item, this is one thing I like. It is an original paint chart from 1967, so you can see what color your car is supposed to have.

I also have a reprint of the original assembly drawings.  This is what they call an Assembly manual

Other Olds literature

setting.jpg (5128 bytes) This is almost an Olds book since it written by people employed by Olds. It's about the company (Olds) first hundred years. It is not only about the cars put about the company and the people.
This is a Book about Oldsmobile in general and contains an amazing amount of pictures. The most interesting is on page 315 showing a 1967 Cutlass with Turnpike cruising package like mine. I also enjoy the part about the Viking. A car from Olds around 1930. I am from Norway (land of Vikings)
This is one of the better Olds book I have seen (according to my interest of course). It tells the Oldsmobile muscle history, including early Rocket 88 and the J-2 six pack from 1957. It goes all the way up to the aurora engine, and has very complete history in between (like information on the many W-machines)

These four books contains reprints from car tests in magazines like Car Craft, Hot Rod, Car Life etc.

This two  first books are nearly the same. The 64- 72 book to the left is an early edition, and might be hard to get. The 64- 74 book to the right is said to be the replacement, but in my opinion that's a mistake. The early book (left) contains 20 articles. The new book (right) contains 35 articles. But....,and here is the drawback; 12 of the articles is represented in both books, so you have to buy them both, if you, like I don't want to miss any articles. The Total nr of articles in these two first books are 31. The two later books are in the same category.

Restoration/ info books

This one contains copy of original factory info from 61 to 69. It is a nice book but it can make somebody confused because it also contains some info from full-size Olds. A    very nice book
An extensive amount of information and ID numbers. This book also contains some full size options that I mean that should not be there. A very nice book.
This is a crossing between the above books. Not as complete as other restoration guides, it is more like an source book with info on option codes, colors, trim, specification etc.  A very nice book.
