When I paint your portrait,
baby
Inspiration calls
for far more hues
than my palette can ever hold
I use my thinnest brushes
to get the details right
I dare not miss a single facet
of what's in my sight
I don't care about reviews
I'm indifferent to the news
I know what it means to me
On exhibition in my private gallery
When I take your picture, baby
Black and white won't do
I zoom in on your eyes
and my favourite colour blue
It's never necessary
to put the flashlight on
Must be your presence
reminiscent of a summer sun
I don't care about reviews
I'm indifferent to the news
I know what it means to me
On exhibition in my private gallery
With every image neatly placed inside a silver frame
They get the places they deserve upon my wall of fame
I don't care about reviews
And I'm indifferent to the news
I know what you mean to me
