Alan Hauge from Geneva IL is a new director on the board. Alan and his wife Louise are active members of Geneva Lutheran Church and both enjoy reading and traveling. They have visited several countries as well as places in US, including two trips to Norway where Alan discovred and visited relatives on both his mother's and father's sides of the famili.
His mother's family (Midthun) came from Øvre Årdal and his father's family came from Skjolden, Noeway. His cousin Nils Midtun (Øvre Årdal) informed him he has cousins throughout Norway. Allen remains very interested in his family history and Norwegian heritage and has done much research seeking information.
A highlight of the last several years was traveling each summer with their two grandsons to various places in the US. Now that both Alan and Louise are retired rhey hope to do more traveling and spend more time wih their family in Minnesota.
