Pictured here are some of the members of the Sognefjordlag who enjoyed a cruise on Albert Lea Lake aboard the "pelican Breeze". The crew climbed aboard around fourteen hundred (2:00 PM) and set "sail" from Frank Hall Park on the northwest shore of the lake. The "Pelican Breeze" was a 40 foot double-decker pontoon boat with lots of comfortable seating and refresments served by the "first mate" Kelly Schultz who told us of the history of the lake and of Albert Lea. In conversation with "First Mate Schultz", it turned out that she was of Norwegian descent on her mother's side and coincidentally, her heritage was from Sognefjord area in Norway. Our chief recruiter, Edie Syftestad, immediately signed her up as a member and Kelly has promised that she will be with us in Decorah at our Sognefjordlag next summer.
