As dusk decended

- I prepared the car for priming

Closing time!

Windows are not the worst places to mask. Here, as I carefully attached the last stripes of masking tape I looked forward to driving the car into the paint-room. But moments later when the rain poored down outside, I really wondered if that would put an end to the plans of priming the car that evening...

Deadline:

But kind weather gods made the rain halt for two small minutes, and that gave me just enough time to drive the car over to the brightly lit paint-room.

As I took these last pictures prior to the priming I searched my mind wondering if I'd really given all details a good enough finish...

Point of no return:

This is what the car looked like a few hours later. The project had reached its second point of no return, and yet more hours of rubbing were waiting.

First time:

There is a first time for everything, and here I'm painting - for the first time ever. The straight surface of the boot lid is a nice place to start. It was reassuring to know that more layers of priming would later cover this first attempt of mine.
