[Group #1 Differnt programs]

Legend:

Group #1: This is where the best swimmers belong (age 13 to 20). The group has at least four programs; sprint-, middle- and longdistance (pluss super- sprint).

Group #2: This is where the swimmers are allowed to have other interrest then swimming, but swim ougth to be their main-sport. They have only one program for all and they do not swim as long as many in group #1 does.

SSD = supersprintdistance, SD = sprintdistance, MD = middledistance, LD = longdistance

Int./On. = Interval, S = slow, F = fast, E = swim easy, Drills = swim in technique, R = rest

Hyp 5/ br. e. (breath each) = breath every 5 strokes, Choice = stroke of your choice

Neg. Split = swim second part of the distance faster then the first one.

B. Fly/Fly = butterfly, BK = backstroke, BR = breaststroke, FR = freestyle/crawl

A1 = very slow (warm up) A2 = slow (warm up), EN1 (endurance one)= normal speed (heartbeat=140 - 150)

EN2 = some faster then normal speed (heartbeat= 150 - 160), EN3 = heartbeat= 160 - 170

EN4 = fast at long distances (heartbeat= 170 - 180), AN3 = sprint at shorter distances like 12,5 m and 25 m.

AN1 = sprint in 50 m.
