Norway is the home of this site and it is therefor naturly to tell you some from this beatiful country.
These present comments are written by the webmaster.
Here in Norway you will find a lot of beatiful nature. From high mountains
to deep fjords and of caurse what I like most of all: the Seaside.
Through this site I would like to guide you around and give you a little taste of Norway,
my Norway.
This current page is number one
of two; the second
page is about Stavanger.
The nature of Norway is exciting
and special. At the picture to the right is one of the many phenomens in Norway's
nature.
The Nature in Norway can be really
wounderful, just look at all the colors in the autum.
The most famous part of Norways
seaside is "Blindleia" at the south part of Norway. It is lots
of searoads in between islands, holms and islets. The most of these islands
and holms are inhabited of cabins, and some places you will even find a
little Café or a general store. The weather is known for beeing
very good in summer-season, and the crowd of tourists bears witness of
that this is true. At night there are arranged parties for the youth, and
if you get bored of silent sea and small seaside-villages, then you could
go into one of the big cities.
If you are "unlucky" you could get in to some bad weather, like
a storm. Then you will experince the wildness of the nature.
Now, if you would like to be challanged in an other
way, why not try some mountain-climbing?
Norway is, beside from beeing a seacountry, also a mountainly dominated
land. You will find lots of exciting journies to make in famous, large
mountains and glaciers.
Beside from all this you could try out Norways national
sport: skiing. All norwegians go skiing as often as they can (all - exept
from me!). It is said that the norwegians are born with skis, and it is
a fact that skiing was evented in Norway!
17th of May is Norway's constitutions day. Then all
the norwegians line up for parades with Norwegian flags and songs. There
is two kind of parades: childrens parade (schools/kindergarten) and the peoples parade
(bands, clubs, etc.) The picture below is taken from the childrens parade
and shows the gang from the International School of Stavanger.
