This month preview:
Eric Clapton: Pilgrim

Finally has the legend once again let out a new album - we have all waited for it. But is this album what we expected from Clapton?
Unexpected or not - this music is worth listening to!!

This album is very different from the music that Clapton has released before. It is more a one-mans-production then I had ever thought he would give us. In "Pilgrim" Clapton uses more technical effects then in his "normal" style.
First I was a bit disappointed that it did not turn out to be one of his "Layla"s or "Malted Milk", but when I managed to hear the new music as it were, it became clearly to me that this was one of his best master-pieses!!

When you listen to the music with great weight in it you feel like in an another world. All the details in the sound-picture is unbelievable. Another thing is that many of the songs are very slow - this creates a atmosphere that could have you dreaming in seconds!
Eric Clapton has of course not forgotten those of us that like speedy and rough songs. Songs like "Sick and Tired" and "She's Gone" sees to wake you up.

Still the tracks "Born in Time", "Broken Hearted", "My Father's Eyes" and "Pilgrim" itself are the winners!
This album is recommended by all means, but you must not believe that it is just good and old Eric that you are going to get.
