I am a 33 year old man from Raufoss, Norway and I am married to Marianne from the Olympic city of Lillehammer. We have been married since 1996. We live on a little farm at Raufoss, Norway. Raufoss is a place in the inland of Norway about 120 km north of Oslo , our capital. Raufoss has about 7.000 citizens in the town and about the same in the surronding areas. As we are living on a top about 1350 ft over sea level we got great wievs in three directions. Pics will come soon!!
I work as en engineer at Hamar-regionen Energiverk in the city of Hamar on the east side of the lake Mjøsa. Mjøsa is a little lake in the world, but it is the biggest we got here i Norway!! Hamar-regionen Energiverk is a electric power company that has about 35.000 customers on the east side of Mjøsa.
Marianne graduated in farming in 1992 and was counsiling farmers how they should do to make their milk cows do the best. She quit this in 1995 and then worked as an instructor on a farming shcool nearby. In august 1996 she went to college in Gjøvik were I graduated in -89 and started to study nursing. She graduated from this in june 1999. Since then she has worked at Oppland Sentralsykehus Gjøvik (Oppland Central Hospital Gjøvik).
We both play in a band called Bøverbru Musikkforening. Marianne plays the French horn and Sjur plays the Bb Cornet. Althoug we are not so old (we think) we have had this hobby for about 20 years both of us. We think it is very fun to play music for ourselves and we hope to go on with this for many years.
We also love dancing. Sjur has danced folk dances for more than 10 years. We have won some small contests. Back in -92 we won a travel to Italy in a contest. We also arrange a small course in Swing dancing.
Marianne just loves to knit socks, sweaters and so on. She also like to use the needle on a embroidery. She does this so often she can.
