" A DESPERATE PLEA FOR HELP FROM DEATH WATCH IN FLORIDA"
BY GERALD E. STANO

" If there is a lawyer out there, or a concerned group of people out there who would want to help make things better for us here
please contact me directly at my address:
Gerald E. Stano #079701, Florida State Prison,
PO Box 181 ,
X-2103-S, Starke, Florida 32091.

With a lawyers help , we could change the way that we are being treated here on Death Watch.
Now--with me ( Jerry ) being on Death Watch 6 times already,
I know the proper procedures for Death Watch Phase I & II. As of Nov.1,1997
The Administration here is not following their Post Orders and Procedures. They are using the
Sgt. assigned to the Quarter Deck for Death Watch as well.
Wrong. There is to be a separate Sgt. who sits at a desk on the first floor just for DeathWatch.
This is not being done and they are violating their own Post Orders and Procedures for Death Watch.
Even the Superintendent ( Mr. McAndrews) , Florida State Prison has said:
" I am trying to make it as comfortable as possible for you on Death Watch."
Well people, this has never happened yet. Death Watch is to be taken very seriously,
but the Administration is not taking it that way. They are upset because, they had to appear in court last year for a hearing about the Electric Chair.
so, to get even with us on Death Watch they are violating their own Post Orders and Procedures.
In order to have this corrected right away, people must immediately contact:
Mr. Harry Singletary,
Secretary Department of Corrections
2601 Blair Stone Road
Tallahassee, Florida 32399
This is the person who can get this all straightened out very easily.
People, it is to the point here, where we can not help our lawyers with our cases,
can't sleep at nights, and the list goes on and on. This must stop. In the name of Justice and Humanity,
I am asking you all on bended knees to please contact:
Mr. Harry Singletary in Tallahassee, Florida...right away.
He is not aware of how we are being treated here on Death Watch.
It's time to stand up people.

Thank you very much, Jerry
