Please forward the following information to our friends on the internet :
" The Florida Department of Corrections has 3 men on Death Watch, all with 12" black & white televisions, that have been repaired.... many, many times and don`t work proplerly.
Plus, they have an antenna system that is not working, properly.
Now, the televisions that are on Death Row in Florida are donated by Church Groups when possible.
But, 95% of the televisions don`t work properly and then have to be repaired with parts from other televisions that don`t work anymore. As for the antenna system, it needs some work because stations blend over to other stations, antenna boosters need replacing, and antenna cables need replacing.
Now, what is needed desperately on Death Watch is:
3 brand new televisions that are donated only ... plus to have the antenna system fixed properly.
People, The D.O.C. cries they don`t have the money to repair the televisions or the antenna system. But, they have the time and money to buy A/C units for the administration, computers for staff, office equipment, etc.. But when it comes to Death Watch, the D.O.C. passes the buck (they just don`t care).
The 3 of us here really need your help people. If any concerned person or persons would care to donate 3 black and white televisions to the 3 of us on Death Watch it would surely be appreciated very much.

Now, on another note of Death Watch - This is supposed to be taken seriously folks.
But, the D.O.C. is not following their rules and Post orders they have. According to their rules, there is supposed to be a Sgt. assigned to Death Watch 24 hours a day.
But, the Administration is not following their rules by using the Sgt. appointed to the Quarter Deck of X-Wing. So that Sgt. has to do two jobs instead of one.
Plus, when you get a call out while on Death Watch, you are not supposed to be put in a holding cell.
You are to be escorted by a Sgt. to where you are going, and that Sgt. is to stay with you all the time you are out of your cell from Death Watch.
But the administration is violating their rules here also by putting us in holding cells, which has happened to all 3 of us so far here.
People, ever since the re-set dates they gave us, the Administration has not taken Death Watch serious..... since
Nov 1. 1997.
We want you people aware of how they are treating us here on Death Watch. Plus, with all they are doing to try and aggravate us here, we have to work on our cases, try to assist our lawyers and it is not easy.
If at all possible......
We would appreciate any and all help from anybody out there.
We have to buy our own pens, legal papers, envelopes, stamps from the canteen ( store ) here.
So any help would be really appreciated by a few dollars in the form of Money Order only.
as Always...

DANIEL REMETA
Daniel Remeta is sitting on death watch in Florida Prison to wait for execution, scheduled 31th March - 1998.
Governor Chiles of Florida has signed his death warrant to be executed in the same chair as was used when Pedro Medina was executed in 1997, when flames errupted from the chair.
Florida Supreme Court still finds this chair a human execution method.
What we in Scandinavia finds inhuman, Florida continues.
Daniel Remeta here writes a personal message via one of his friends and want this to be told to the people in Europe:
When governor Chiles signed my death warrant, it contained nothing about inhuman conditions. It simply schedules me for an execution.
Yet here I am subjected to prison guards with mental problems, others who have open bleeding sores feeding me meals. Another who constantly gags and coughs near the food, nor does he ever wear gloves.
We`ve gotta yell and bang just to receive heat on death watch due to the fact our heat is controlled on another wing.... and due to the fact a prisoner they consider a security threat had a special cell made for him. The air vents are on 24.00-7.00.
Would you want to be subjected to these conditions?
We`re fighting legal battles to save our lives yet such conditions discourage you...... You`re cold, angry, stressed out, feel tortured.......
If you are willing to help, contact anyone of us here on death watch.
If you want to possibly make a change, send a complaint letter to Singletary in Tallahassee, Florida.
In the USA cruel and unusual punishment is not to exist!!!!!!
Take care.
Danny.

Letter from Daniel Remeta 7/1-98
Danny had a death warrant signed just prior to Christmas 97 and is scheduled for execution at the end of March 98.
His wife Judy and his sister in law, Carol, as well as Danny himself need all the support they can have from us now.
In the letter to his friend he wrote the following:
I believe the support from the world fell short, heard from nobody, excluding journalists etc. , but I am not doing any interviews yet, if and when I do, they`ll be X.
I`ve a lot to express.
Well, my friend... you take special care, and seriously thanks for everything. You`re a good friend, times like this surfaces only true ones and you surfaced first. I do not forget such things, my friend.
Well........ we ask you all to drop Danny a line. He feels as though he has been deserted by most people out there.
