AMERICA: 500 EXECUTIONS
(since 1976 and still killing)

This is a headline that will soon appear in newspapers across
America. To mark this impending tragic occasion, the Abolitionist Action
Committee calls for a day of national protest against America's ongoing
policy that exterminates human beings in the name of the law.

In recognition of the day America marks its 500th execution, we
call for nonviolent rallies and civil disobedience at the 40
extermination sites and at the US Supreme Court. These extermination
sites are located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in Terre Haute, Indiana
and in the 38 states that currently embrace capital punishment. We call
for similar rallies at U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world.

The day and location of the 500th execution are not yet known,
and the time of that execution may vary. In the USA, we call for this
nationwide protest to commence simultaneously at 9:00 p.m. Eastern (6
p.m. Pacific) at all 40 extermination sites and at the US Supreme Court.
We ask that all protests occurring outside of the US begin at noon local
time.

Now is the time to begin preparing for this event. For further
