On this homepage you will find the family tree of the descendants of Jens and Marta Serine Haarde who lived on the farm Haarde in the municipality of Sandeid in Norway in the 19th century. 

The family tree is mainly based on the works of Allard Stevens (Minnesota, USA). This edition for the Internet has been prepared and improved by Sveinung Wersland (Sola, Norway) with lots of help from the rest of the family.

Why this homepage:
It all started with a visit from USA to Haarde in the summer of 1999. That is when Allard and Ann Stevens and his two twin-daughters and spouses came to visit their Norwegian family. 
Allard Stevens had been to Norway several times and had over the years managed to visit quite an extensive number of his Norwegian relatives. He then knew from experience that it would take quite some time and many visits to be able to introduce his daughters to their Norwegian family.
He then asked Arne Haarde and Lars Gunnar Sandnes if it would be an idea instead to invite everybody to a gathering at Haarde ? 

We ended up having to rent the Sandeid Community Hall for the gathering of 101 Haarde family members on the 26th June 1999.


   Saturday 26th June 1999: Some the visitors to the family reunion gathered at the homestead of Lars Gunnar and Anne Kristine Sandnes at Middle Haarde.


 Family tree: Even though many added new information and others corrected earlier data entered into the family tree on the 26th June 1999, the family tree might still need a few more corrections. If you have additions or corrections, kindly e-mail them to:
