TRA1
- Power Transformer Design
Design and analysis of core type power transformers.
The program is used for optimized design and analysis of single and three phase
power transformers, ranging from distribution transformers up to the largest sizes.
Special types, such as rectifier transformers, can also be handled. The cost of
the transformer plus losses is minimized, and all the important performance
requirements are met automatically. The program can be run both as an
optimizing program and as a pure analysis program. The entire program is supplied in
Fortran source code. Input
is generated automatically
for finite element field
program FLD12.
Types of three phase
connections include wye, delta, auto, zig-zag, polygon and extended delta.
At the present, the program is restricted to the following core types:
Three phase, three wound circular legs.
Single phase, two wound circular legs.
Types of tank and cooling, presently in the program:
Oil immersed, plain tank, external radiators, air cooled.
Oil immersed, plain tank, external tube coolers, air cooled.
Oil immersed, plain tank, external water coolers.
Oil immersed, corrugated tank, self cooled.
Types of windings:
Disk and helical windings with one or more layers.
Regulating windings for fine and coarse regulation.
Sheet windings.
Layer windings for distribution transformers.
Subdivided layer windings for distribution transformers.
Rectifier windings, double disks, wye and delta
connected above each other.
Rectifier windings, double disks, wye and inverse wye connected axially interspersed.
Rectifier windings, double disks, single wye or delta
connected.
Rectifier sheet windings, wye and inverse wye connected radially
interspersed.
