What is YumfK ?

Yumfk is a frontend for the mpg audio player mpg123, the mikmod module player library and mysql. Future versions may include support for sids, see TODO. YumfK is a console program and is build upon libmikmod and libmpeg3. This is actually my first c program, so bare with me the source.

8.2.2000:

YumfK 0.2 released!
Added module support. Found out that the play(list editor) bug is something wrong with the play function in the playlisteditor. What I'm not sure of yet... Use with extreme caution.

10.2.2000:

YumfK 0.3 released!
Fixed the recursive add, improved the fileselector (processindicator, better error handling).
Added some screenshots.

21.2.2000:

YumfK 0.4 released!
fixed the bug in the playlisteditor, now you can play files from it.
added a option to delete entries from the database
added playlist load/save
improved the indicator in the fileselector

3.3.2000:

Yumfk 0.4.1 released!
Small bugfix

10.3.2000:

Yumfk 0.5 released!
partial new interface
should be about 99% bugfree!

14.3.2000:

Yumfk 0.5.1 released!

hmm.. I missed a few bugs.. now fixed

1.6.2000:

Yumfk 0.5.2 released!

Fixed a couple of minor bugs + a major bug concerning the adding of modules to the database.

9.1.2001:

Yumfk 0.7 released!

Complete rewrite. Yumfk no longer uses CDK, just ncurses. Has not completed mysql support in the new version. Yumfk now uses m3u playlists. The old yumfk playlists are not supported. (unless somebody makes me to)

What do I need to run YumfK ?

To run YumfK you need the following:

• ncurses
• CDK (for versions before 0.7)
• mysql 3.22.29 or later (not ready in 0.7)
• mpg123 (for versions before 0.7)
• Libmpeg3 (for versions after 0.7).
• A precompiled package can be found here since it can be a bit tricky to compile and install.
• libmikmod
• mp3 files / modules

Todo / wishlist:

• fix bugs
• add time functions (counter, total time, remaining, etc)
• add support for sid
• some sort of oscillirator

This code is probably quite messy, since, as mentioned this is my first c program ever. Feel free to edit as you like. If you do, I wouldn't mind a mail about the changes.
