The final. The opposing teams eyed each other across the field. I do believe I scared Shark a little with my intelligent looks, he was heard to mutter that I looked like a real genius. Well, this little journal excerpt should show that we started pretty evenly:
Shaman: START
Shark: An Ex Por
Praxix: An Ex Por
Praxix: Shoot to kill, men!
Praxix: You are attacking Xagarak!
Shark: In Vas Mani
Praxix: In Vas Mani
46 points of damage have been healed.

We both paralyzed the opposing teams melee fighter then had to heal due to extremely accurate bolts from the archers. Aware that I had to take out Shark quickly, I flung an explosion at him just as Obi got in a particularly powerful hit. While I was casting the follow-up ebolt, Shark ran off the screen to heal (we were all lagless by now). Unfortunately for him, his spellwords made a nice fat target for my cursor, and having incredible luck with both the explosion and the ebolt, Shark lay dead!

Victory must surely be ours now! I paralyzed Xagarak again (well, his halberd was denting my armor and we all know it's impossible to find an honest smith nowadays). As our fighters closed in on him I struck him with a lightning bolt, and healed myself (was hurting pretty bad by this time). Xagarak fell. By this time I was as good as out of mana, so when Obi asked for a heal, all I could do was a lesser one (for 13 points). This turned out to be a fatal mistake though, for seconds later he was felled by a well-aimed bolt from Violence! Then she turned her sights on me!

Saben, my remaining teammate was in vain trying to run down the lagless archer, and I was able to keep a reasonable margin of health with a lesser heal while waiting for mana... Finally I managed to get off a lightning bolt at her, but still she stood! Poor Saben couldn't move by this time. I was down to about 30 hitpoints (inside the danger zone should a bolt hit me), but her health bar was all red. So I ran up to her and started punching her... She was standing still, hoping for a hit to finish me off (I believe she could have managed to win then), but when her bolt was about to fly, she fell dead to the ground. Who says wrestling is useless?

So, we received our prices... Unfortunately I crashed before I managed to save the screenshot of the victory ceremony... And the login server was down. Still, it will be an event that I remember! Excellent arrangement by GdF and inventive rules made it a very fun event.
