Trolls Path - Trollstigen

Pic: Trolls Path

The Trolls Path (Trollstigen) early in the morning (approx 4 am.) Notice the warning sign... The road ascends in many sharp (hairpin) curves. You can see parts of the road in the middle of the picture (like Z in Zorro). Before the road was built, people used to take horses over this mountain pass. They used the right side of the valley, the trail is still visible and if you have the time to spare, a hike along this trail is really worth it.

More of Trollstigen. Notice the waterfall. The horse trail is barely visible on the right side of the waterfall.

Looking downwards from the bridge over the waterfall. The horse trail is on the left. It's just incredible that they brought horses up here.

Pic: Trolls Path overview

Looking downwards. Notice that you may stop on several places. The first time I was here I made at least twenty stops, to fully grasp the bewitching scenery. My first visit was at sunset, this time was before sunrise. I have also driven here in fog thick as porridge.

This is spectacular, give me more
