Jehovah's "Wonderful Purpose for mankind" There's a growing number of Jehovah's Witness Web sites on the Net, which all tells us about how we can "gain happiness" if we only accept a "free Bible study". Let us take a look at a typical ad that is often run on the back side of the Watchtower:
So let us take a look at how the Witnesses envision this wonderful purpose for mankind, which is the reason that we can gain such incredible happiness. We can start with some Watchtower "art" from the earlier day's and up to now:
As these examples of Watchtower "art" from the fifties show, the artist[s] obviously liked the "earth swallow you" , motif. These scenes depict the fate of all non Witnesses in Armageddon. Then as now, the number of Jehovah's Witnesses is under 1% of the earth's population. The Watchtower "artists" have shown lttle variation up through the years. The only real difference is that we can now see all non JW's die horrible death's in color, so don't tell me there's no progress folks. But back to the Warchtower ad. It promised that you could gain happiness from aquiring something called "accurate knowledge".
