Oslo 23.06.94 Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania Attention: Governing Body 25 Columbia Hights, Brooklyn N.Y. 11201, USA This letter is to be read at the first full meeting of the Governing Body. Thank you for your prompt reply to my latest letter. Its a pity you never seem to conjure up the courage to sign these letters
with your name. But the information that no "new light" was coming forth in the summer assemblies was quite valuable
anyway. You guys aren't really gambling on "something" happening this year because its 80 years since 1914, are you? Even
you guys in the TGB cant be that stupid. If you had any sense at all you should have used this assembly as an opportunity to
come clear and tell the people that the generation is a product of your own, pretty confused imagination, and not something
that the creator has promised. But you blew this chance too. Well, how are your racketeering business these days? As I
mentioned in my last letter, you guys seem to be pretty much on your toes due to the desperate article in the 1 of July
Watchtower. Are you feeling reality closing in on you? To much information slipping trough the mental Berlin wall you so
carefully have constructed, eh? Well I can promise you, more will be forthcoming. I must say I'm astonished of the complete lack of strategic thinking in Brooklyn. This is probably due to the fact that you don't
have a strategy. Which in turn means that matters are far worse than even I dreamed of. You rally don't have a clue have
you? I mean, what are you going to do with the bold statement in the Awake! magazine about the "promise" the "creator" has
made about the 1914 generation. Next year it will be extremely embarrassing to leave it there, and equally embarrassing to
take it away. And do you remember this statement? "Today, much as it was in the time of Moses, people living under favorable conditions may reach 70 or 80 years of age...
Some few may live longer, but Moses stated the general rule. Moses himself, who lived 120 years, was an exemption,.."
Insight on the Scriptures. Vol 1. (1988) s. 917, 918. This quote will also prove to be another source of embarrassment for you. What does it take to get you guys to understand
that your chronology is nothing but unfounded fantasies and nonsense. The emperor with his "new clothes" is really fully
clothed compared with the kind of garments you guys are wearing. How are you going to keep the faithful in the perpetual
state where they have a "sense of urgency"? You cannot keep on "crying wolf" all the time, because this will not be sufficient
to keep your "cattle" on their toes. I'm afraid you will have to produce some kind of new time prophecy in order to keep your
stranglehold on the "faithful". The future really is exiting. I do expect some real good entertainment from Brooklyn in the
coming years. I do not however, envy you the awesome task of having to continue, over hundred years of failed prophecies
and the tradition of lying and cheating, trying to cover up all the failures. Your latest "history book" was a dismal attempt. Regards, Norm. |
