Neptune Information:
- The eighth planet from the Sun and the fourth largest.
- The smallest of the four gas giants.
- Composed of a deep atmosphere around a liquid surface and sometimes a solid core.
- The atmosphere consists of mostly hydrogen and helium.
- Neptune has five thin rings.
- It's largest moon is Triton. Triton is the coldest object with -235C in our solar system.
- The winds on Neptune is the strongest (up to 600 m/s) known in our solar system.
- Johann Gottfried Galle (German astronomer) first observed the planet in 1846.
