After consulting the "Jaron Dictionary of Football" I
can exclusively reveal the answer :

An exaggerated and illogical fear of seeing Norwegian international Stig Inge Bjornebye playing at left-wing back. Estimated to affect a significant proportional of Liverpool fans. Symptoms include :
* groaning on seeing Bjornebye's name on the team sheet
* dismissing goal making crosses as flukes
* suggesting a list of 5 candidates for left wing back, 3 of whom
aren't even Liverpool players yet, and aren't likely to sign
anyway.
Bjornephobia is closely related to Babbaphobia (qv) and
Barnephobia (qv).
The underlying cause is believed to be an infatuation with star
players, which tends to overshadow the less conspicuous team
members. Interestingly, the great Liverpool teams of the late 80s
had players like Gary Ablett and David Burrows playing at left
back.
The incidence of Bjornephobia is projected to diminish with time, especially as Bjornebye continues to outscore Andy Cole.
