During October in 1993, I joined Arne Wangen on the restoration of an old EMU, BM64.05.
Originally built for the Hardanger Line, this group of EMU's were also run on the Flaam line.
And on their last days, they where used for transporting school children in Raundalen, between Voss and Myrdal stations, on the Bergen Line
They were rescued from scrapping and placed at Garnes in 1985.
In the following couple of months we became a group of four guys working together. Later, one of the early group members has left and
others have joined, so now we are a gang of seven. In addition, a couple of guys who drops in from time to time.
None of us has any connections to railroading, through education or work. What keeps us going is a genuine wish to see this car running once more, drawing current from the catenary.
Work sessions usually takes place on Saturdays, lasting some 6 to 8 hours.
If you have any information you think can help us on our project, or any serious questions to what we are doing, please contact me.
