Famous businesses
| I didn't get to try Weaver D's delicious fine food, but the iced tea he served me was the best! | |
| The restaurant could in fact use a little paint.... | |
| Wuxtry records. I spent A LOT of time here...and a lot of money too. Athens has 2 record stores that are great for R.E.M. collectors, and this is of course one of them. Peter worked at Wuxtry when he moved to Athens in the late 70's. | |
| This is the 40 Watt club as it looks nowadays. It has moved around a bit, this is the 6th location or something. Next to the club is the other great record store in Athens, Low Yo Yo records. Todd who owns it can get you almost every R.E.M. item in the world. | |
| This is kind of sad...but the brick wall seen here is the remains of Tyrone's O.C., maybe Athens' finest club until it burned down in 1982. | |
| Tyrone's brick wall seen from the opposite side. It now serves as a "nice" parking lot. |
