Pigadia (Karpathos town)
Pigadia
is the capital on Karpathos, here lives about 2.500 people. The city has
a nice towncentre with a good selection of shops and restaurant's / bar's.
IN the middle of the town there is a minigolfcourt, and also a playground
for the kids. The great area in the harbor and nearby is made for pleasant
walks in the evening. The shops are open from 0900 to 1300, and from 1730
to 2200. Some shops have other openinghours. You'll have to remember that
you are in Greece, so don't set the time after the shops....
Outside the town there is a Gocartlane who is open in the evening.
The
town has also several supermarkets where you can find the most of things
that you need during your vacation. For shoppers we can mention some of
our favorite's, Genesis, great quality of clothes, Midas,
the best in gold and silver... and service. In the Photoshop down in the
harbor you can get your photos developed before you go home.
