Olympos
is the most famous place on Karpathos for the tourists. And the town is
one of the few places in the world still ruled by women.
This is the biggest touristattraction on the island, and well worth a
visit.
We
guarantee you an experience that you don't see everyday.
A trip to Olympos starts with a nice boattrip for 2 hours, then you will
be taken by bus up in the mountains to Olympos. Then a tour around in
the town and possibility's to taste some of the specials they make in
Olympos. The day is then ending with refreshments in Diafani and maybe
a bit of swimming, before the boat takes you back to Pigadia.
It's
also possible to drive a car or a motorbike to Olympos, That can be a
great experience, but be aware that if you have a rentalcar, the insurance
not will cover damages on the car if it's damaged on the road to Olympos.
We have driven both car and motorbike to Olympos with no problems at all,
but don't do it if you're afraid of bad roads.
