The latest addition to the Sito range for 4-stroke models is an exhaust system for the
Suzuki VX 800. This consists of a pair of silencers, which are supplied under Sito part
number 1332, and can be ordered now from specialist Sito outlets.
The silencer boxes are cylindrical in form, and very similar to the original system. This
is a traditional characteristic of the whole Sito range, which enables the customer to
retain the original appearance of his motorcycle. In general, this is exactly what
motorcyclists buying a 'street-legal' exhaust require.
In addition, Sito offers a number of other valuable benefits. The standard of quality
achieved is exceptional, quite apart from the competitive price. This is largely due to
the twin-chamber technology adopted. This system is Sito's secret weapon in the struggle
against internal corrosion, which is the biggest problem 4-stroke exhausts have to deal
with.
Twin-chamber technology is based on internal separation between the chamber which carries
the hot gas and the outer skin of the exhaust. The hot gas is never in contact with the
outer skin, which is protected from discoloration and thermal stress. All internal
surfaces are coated in melamine, which is highly resistant to low-temperature corrosion,
and the internal lay-out is devised so as to flow corrosive condensate towards the
high-temperature zone around the balance pipe, which leads to rapid evaporation.
In the best Sito tradition, the system is e-marked, and fits straight on to the original
mounting brackets, with no modification required
