Straw against coltsfoot. The intention of this shot was to play around in the close-focus range (2 m). With the step-up from the M-400/5.6, this was a new experience. The M only focus to 5 m. With the bright flowers in the background, however, it also gives a hint about bokeh qualities. At this particular occasion, I almost waded in motifs with coltsfoot. It was the dead straw that caught my attention, however. A memory of last summer's bloom now dead, against the early spring flowers defying unpredictable weather and fluctuating temperatures. Hm... Musta been in a philosophical mood that day... Tech: FA*400/5.6 at f/5.6, 1/350 s. 1 stop underexposure. freehand. Film: Kodak E100S
