Mallards. Finally I had a resonable chance to test the sharpness. In the original slide, the level of detail in the grey parts of the plumage is simply amazing. An amazing thing about mallards is the male's gentlemanship. We threw bread and pieces of fruit to them, but only the female would go eat it. The male was always on guard. This shot pretty much illustrate a typical stance. The female is browsing for food around his legs, while the male has us fixed and focused all the time. Tech: FA*400/5.6 at f/8, 1/125 s. tripod.
