The main emphasis on the farm is to produce food. The farm has milk cows, grain, potatoes, fruit, berries and vegetables. In addition there are a few horses, some hens, sheep, and rabbits. Customers may buy corn, eggs, flour and vegetables directly from the farm. The milk is sold to Østlandsmeieriet (whch is the nearest dairy) and the meat goes to Fellesslakteriet (a major slaughterhouse). The food we serve you will, for the most part, be prepared from our own products.
Besides farming there are also classes from various schhols visiting and now the farm hotel has become a reality.
The soil is cultivated according to ecological principles which exclude the use of fertilizer and chemical pesticicides. Consequently, it is important to exploit the manure well and use diverse leguminous plants (clover, peas etc.) in the field rotation.
At the moment, there are 10 people living on the farm. All of them are more or less involved in the daily work. The way of farming that is being practiced allows everybody to take a part. It is a goal to use less purchased means, more human labour, and generally exploit the resources of the farm itself better.
