 The work of the Conference

The Conference will be held in Radisson SAS Lillehammer Hotel, (home page: http://www.lillehammerhotel.no).

The detailed program of the Conference proceedings will not be know till after the meeting of the Executive Committee (EC) in Lillehammer 8-13 April 1999. However, the structure of the Conference will be as follows:

C1 - The Steering Committee. Comprises of the EC and the Chairmen of certain committees.

C2 - The financial and credential committee.

C3 - This committee deals with all administrative and organisational matters.

C4 - Handles all questions regarding frequencies below 30MHz.

C5 - Same as C4, but above 30MHz.

C6 - Election committee.

In addition several working groups are at work in the course of the conference, e.g. the groups for ARDF (Amateur Radio Direction Finding),EMC, CLG (Common Licence), STAR (Support to the Amateur Radio), IARUMS (Monitoring System).

All decisions taken by the committees are referred to the Plenary Meeting for final decision. This meeting takes place on Friday 24 September.
