Lola
S. Cubish's Short, Weird Things
"...And
another fic was born in the still of the forest."
Bacalao and nihao! This is where I've put all the stories and stuff that are left over from my last TMNT page, which has now been taken down. These are the things that managed to survive the Big Sweep, so to speak; the things I decided to keep up here. The last of my active TMNT fandom. Mostly it's the Short, Weird Things and my one and only Donny Shrine! Oh, and watch out for a few new drawings (old, actually, but unpublished)!

"What
is my problem with Man, you ask? No, I ask you; what was Man's problem
with me?"

sample from Armand Van Helden's "U Don't Know Me"
The
first, and so far shortest and weirdest of these stories. You won't be
surprised when I tell you I wrote this in my math class. <G>
A short
story starring Donatello. Codeword: Twilight Zone.
When
struggling with reality, having confusing thoughts, walking around in strangely
set, yet familiar scenes, someone from the outside is talking to the turtles.
A farmer
doesn't get too happy when he finds out that a big turtle is lurking about
his farm.
But
his daughter doesn't seem to mind it that much...
Donatello
experiences a major identity crisis, and makes a big decision for himself
that will change his entire life, but his family and his girlfriend voice
their disagreements. Is he going to go through with it?
OBS:
In some ways, this is a possible sequel to "Permanent Green". Depends on
how you see it.
Finally
a story starring, of the TMNT, only Leonardo.
There's
a desert. There's an oasis. There's a man covered in white rags. There's
a resident of the oasis. There's a monster. There's a little girl. There
are numerous references to The Wizard Of Oz, and this fic is named after
a song by The Prodigy.
Need
I say more? Weirdness.
We
get to see both future flashes and some of the past from my favorite self-composed
fanfic couple, Don and Paula, in this little tidbit I wrote entirely after
a picture I happened to doodle when I was sitting in a drawing class.
No
turtle metaphores, no deeper meaning, really...just a description of the
relationship between two beings, one a tad special. We're in the backyard
of 1991...
This
is a dedication to Fan Fiction, and especially to the TMNT Fanfic Awards.
It's about the process of writing a story, and one of the strange ways
in which it can be developed. Basically, I have a big, empty space and
I toy around with the TMNT. Suddenly, the story itself is turning against
me...
Go
see how it turned out.
My
one and only Venus DeMilo fan fic! (Shadow Watcher doesn't count.) And
I haven't even seen The Next Mutation! From the conclusions I've drawn
from a few fan fics, this is how I imagine her if she hadn't been cursed
by bad Saban script writers.
Even
Michaelangelo can lose his spunk once in a while...
Definitely
the longest one and the generally best liked of the Short, Weird Things
(tm) so far.
Leo
goes bonkers, and Raph, as the only remaining turtle, has to deal with
it.
And these four will come...eventually.
I think. Don't bet on it, though. -->
Telescopes,
diners, wandering, death, dark alleys, lakes, faces, the future and jelly
beans...
We
start in the aftermath of a couple of deaths, and follow Mike, Raph and
their astronomist friend, Colliar, who's trying to get back with his love,
Mae. Leo's finding himself in a difficult position, trying to comfort his
best friend's widow and her son, and Don's out hiking with a good friend
and the said friend's very energetic granddaughter.
Raph
wakes up with a hangover and an annoying dream in his head. We follow my
take on what Raph does on his Sundays to see if he can make it to the "family
thing" in the evening. Bonus: Raphael
The
sequel to Freak Power; twice as evil. Because while I was one of the heroic
victims in the last one, this time I'm not around to help them. I am the
unseen torturer. Muhahaha!
Guest
stars: Mr. T and his elephant, Dolly.
The
sequel to Pancake Lizard and Zounds! Zealous Zoster, untangling
a few knots around Janine and her mother... Mike's death... his daughter
Lucy, the product of his summer flirt with Charlotte... Charlotte's father...
the turtles' and Splinter's feelings about it all... and what happens when
all these issues end up at the old house in North Hampton.
The
concluding part of what I like to think of as The Michaelangelo Trilogy.
Meanwhile, here's the TMNT Fanfic Archive, with a pretty complete linkage to TMNT Fanfics
Now, go on to my Donatello fan page...
