Dawnatello, founder of the Fanfic Awards,
gives you the winners of the
First Annual TMNT Fanfiction Awards!

::Michaelangelo saunters on stage wearing a tuxedo, and hands Dawnatello an
envelope::

::Dawnatello stands there motionless and stares at the envelope for a darn
long time, just for drama::

Okay, before I open the envelope, I'd like to say that all of the votes were VERY close.  And everyone has done an excellent job in writing their fanfics.  Even if you aren't on this final list, your efforts are very much appreciated.  Fanfiction is a creative expression of ourselves.  It allows us to see the characters in ways that other mediums don't cover.
We put them through torment and pain, but we also give them hope and triumph.
Fanfiction creates scenarios that give new life to the characters we write about, and isn't that what we're all about anyway, keeping the TMNT alive?
So everyone who has written a story, give yourself a pat on the back.  We're all winners.  ;)

Okay...now to the envelope...

::Clears throat and tears open the envelope::
