Bob Dylan meeting at Two Dogs pub, Oslo, November 23rd 2002.

After thirty minutes of delay, the 9th Bob Dylan meeting at Two Dogs pub was
started. The arrangement was, because the release of Bootleg series vol. 5 –
“The Rolling Thunder Revue”, a combined Dylan meeting and release party. The pub was
jam packed with people. This time, we might have needed a bigger place for the arrangement?!

Mr. Paulsen and Ms. Mollerin welcomed the lucky crow.

Daniel, our first performer, opened the show with live music.
His opening song was “Froggie went a-courtin`”, and all the
happy people sang along: aha!! aha!! aha!! A few songs later
Mr. Gulbrandsen, a young Norwegian musician, joined in. Among
the songs performed were: “Man in the long black Coat”, “All
along the Watchtower”, “Floater” and “Diamond Joe”.

It was now time for the “serious” contribution,
this time given by the Rolling Thunder Revue
expert Mr. Blom, who was interviewed by Mr. Paulsen.
Mr. Blom told us about the background for this
energetic tour, the tour itself and the last concert
in Montreal. Halfway in the interview a video clip
taken from the film “Renaldo and Clara” was shown,
among others: “When I paint my Masterpiece”.

Quiz

As usual a lottery was held. After 15 minutes, we were completely sold out.
At the same time Mr Lindström, last year’s quiz-winner, handed out the quiz
of the year. One might take it as a healthy sign, not making full score on
this test…! Anyway, Mr. Bråthen and Mr. Borgan reached the final. It was a
close race in a test even more difficult than the previous. But, as in every
competition, only one man can take it to the top. This time it was Mr. Borgan.

Test what You know.... Quiz-1, - Quiz-2, - Quiz-3
(Sorry, but in Swedish only)

Live Music

As on the last meeting “The Hoovers” now entered the stage. And this time again,
they gave us a powerful concert. At one point the whole pub, 120 Dylan-fans, were
on their feet. There was no time for sitting down before the band “Gerilja”,
completed this nights program. “Gerilja” gave us two hard rocking versions of
“Blowin` in he Wind” and “All Along the Watchtower”, together with a couple of
self composed songs. The band blew the head off some of the Dylan fans.

But the night was not over. We continued with a hootenanny,
socializing and video clips from our video master M. Karlstad.
