Subject: Gary's effects

Dear Sir,

I would like to know what type of guuitar effects does Gary Moore use. He uses the same type in most songs. I would be interested also in company which produced effects he uses. I think that it is a PLL curcuit device."

Answer from Graham Lilley (Gary's Guitar Tech):
See UK Guitarist magazine for photos and info on equipment used on the European tour last year. Various companies make the effects, but mostly Boss and Ibanez.  PLL circuit, need more info.

Subject: Gary's Amps for Blues for Greeny ??

Hello there,
I was Wandering if you could help me ??

On seeing the excellent video I noticed that Gary Was using 3 Amps -

A Fender Twin Reverb,A Fender Vibrolux and the 3rd which I can't seem to identify it has a gold block logo with Black writing which I can't Makeout....and generall al the cabs at the back & a Marshall cab to his  left beside the curtain ????"

Answer from Graham Lilley (Gary's Guitar Tech):
Fender Twin "Blackface" 1961/2, Fender Vibrolux Reissue(not used in the end), Marshall 1962 MK1 Bluesbreaker 2x12" combo. There was also a 50 watt Marshall 1987 amp, circa 1969, used with a 4 x12" cab. The more grittier numbers were the Marshall, with the others being the Fender Twin, espically the songs with reverb.

Hello Ole,
How have you been?

How this happened. The death of Cozy Powell. I don't believe. I was an accident or what?
He is one of my favorite Rock Drummers. I study drum too. It's really a great loose.
Tell me more about his death.

Thank you. God bless you!!!

Ole:

Thanks for the Gary Moore newsletter - my first, and very interesting I
found it.

I wonder if any of our Russian readers can comment on a Russian group called 'Arya'. I have several of their CDs and, although they seem to be promoted as a heavy metal group, to my ears there is a strong influence of Gary Moore in their playing. This is particularly noticeable on the compilation 'Arya' in the 'Legends of Russian Rock' series (Morov records).

Any comments?

Norm

Subject: Cool Web Site

Just wanted to take a minute to say..."awesome web site."  I have been an admirer of Gary Moore since 1990 and have been collecting his music ever since.  I was lucky enough to see him perform in 1977 with Thin Lizzy in Phoenix, Arizona.  I would love to see him play again.  Have any upcoming tour information?

Thanks again for putting up an awesome web site!

Ole-Johan

Liked your Web Page. I've been trying to get the Chris Thompson 'Out of the Night' LP for years.

I have just found a CD of Colusseum II Strange New Flesh, so may be willing to part with my LP version for this in exchange.

Cheers
Andy
