Gary's Action Zone
------------------------
Welcome!
------------------------
Did you believe me in the Issue 10 about the release dates for the single and album? You shouldn't have done that, new dates are Single 12th May and Album 26th May, why worry it's only a fortnight delay and that's not bad. I always to try to have the pages with the Single and Album updated with the latest info.
We will close down the guestbook during the release of the single and the album. So you can write your opinions about the single and the album, all comments will be included in the GAZ issues.
We will try shorten the releases of GAZ during this summer, so long as we have news and submissions to make a decent issue of GAZ.
The reason for the delay of this GAZ issue, was that we was waiting for the first confirmed concert dates. But I wouldn't wait any more to release this issue of GAZ.
We will add a section under Tour dates on the web page called 'I Will Be There! Will You?', soon as we get some dates confirmed. So if you will attend any of the listed concerts and wanting to meet other Gary Moore Fans, send me mail and I will put you on the list! Of course reviews of the concerts are very welcome. There are two possible dates known, but not confirmed yet! It 18th July Pori Jazz Festival, Finland and 19th July Molde International Jazz Festival, Norway. GAZ newsflash will be sent out soon as we get these and other dates confirmed.
The lyrics page is fully updated with all of Gary's studio albums, including 'Grinding Stone' and lots of Non Album tracks. Arve has also completed the Colosseum II album lyrics. A great thanks to Arve Akervold, who has done this excellent job. We have also restructured the Lyrics section so it is more user friendly, if you have any comments about the change just let us know.
We are also planning to release FAQ
regarding Gary Moore during fall '97, so we ask you to send in questions
about Gary Moore 'gaz@sn.no', sooner the better! We will surely remind
you in the future issues of GAZ about our FAQ.
Next issue is planned End Of May, unless...........
Best Regards.......

The May issue of Record Collector has been released with the Top 500 Collectable Artist Pull. Gary Moore dropped from 233 to 373 place, but Thin Lizzy managed to climb from 82 to 59 place.
Gary Moore featured in two articles
in this No 213, May issue of Record Collector, both articles was in Prog
Special with King Crimson & Colosseum. In The Colosseum article Gary
is only mentioned to be in the Colosseum II. But the article in between
King Crimson and Colosseum called 'Shady in Red! Class Of '69 Exposed'
Greg Lake tells about working with Gary: "Working with Gary Moore was very
unusual. He's so talented. I think, even to this day, people have not heard
one bit of the real talent and capabilities of Gary Moore. The guy can
play anything. You ought to hear him play country guitar!"

I'm going to NYC tomorrow to see Limehouse Lizzy. Should be fun.
Drummer Bobby Chouinard passed away
3/8/97, in New York City, of an apparent heart attack, at the age of 43.
Born in Brockton, MA, he played drums for
Billy Squier, Duke and the Drivers,
and for Gary Moore. He played drums for Gary Moore on 'End of the World'
from "Corridors of Power", 'Teenage Idol',
'Murder In The Skies', 'All I Want'
& 'Hold On To Love on "Victims of the Future" and 'Murder In The Skies',
'Shapes Of Things', 'Victims Of The Future' &

Subject: Gary Moore Interview
Hello!
It's almost all interview.
Warning: It's been translatad once
to Russian; and now it's translated to English again. Therefore, it's pretty
diffrent from original one!
"GARY MOORE IN QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS"
Name of the magazine unknown, but
I know only that it's been taken from some source called "MAGAZINE".
Q: What is your first thing in the
morning?
GM: I try to realise where I am
Q: When did you cry last time and
why?
GM: It was in my sleep. But I'd rather
not to talk about it.
Q: What's the most important thing
that you own?
GM: It's my guitar Les Paul, Peter
Green's present. He played with it such
hits as "Albatros" and "Oh Well".
Q: Who is the person you slept with
last night?
GM: I slept alone. If I am in the
bed with somebody, I cannot sleep at all.
Q: What did you inherit from your
parents?
GM: They always told me that one thing
that's been inherited is a
possibility to have children: if your
parents didn't have it, you wouldn't
be here now...
Q: What are you like when you are
drunk?
GM: I'm just intolerable.
Q: What are five words which exactly
describe you?
GM: Guitar player, singer, poet, producer,
and impudent.
Q: What are you, most of all, afraid
of?
GM: That I won't invent a repartee
for your next question.
Q: Do you believe in God?
GM: Yeah...
Q: What's your most obnoxious streak?
GM: I am very rude with those who
bother me. Yet, I'm increadibly stubborn.
Q: Who would you like to meet with?
GM: It doesn't really matter. I am
so lonely
Q: What is the thing that you never
go out without?
GM: My reputation.
Q: What music would you like to order
for your funeral?
GM: "The Pissed-Off Cowboy" by Shaggy
Otis(not sure about spelling!). It's
a song about cowboy, who played in
black-skinned jazz-band. There is
refrain: "Give me a glass os horse's
urine".
Q: Do you like your reflection in
the mirror?
GM: Yes, just like on a photograph
from cheap magazine, but with no
signature.

Subject: Re: GAZ Issu 10
Ole-Johan,
Thanks for GAZ 10, it came much sooner that I expected! I'm glad that there is at last some more information about the new album. I am beginning to think that it is going to be one of these soul ballad albums, or a Bon-Jovi style rock ballad album.
It's so frustrating when you can't hear the album for another month or so!
I think that the album is likely to be released here in England before it gets over there, so I will write a review of it the day it comes out and put it up on my web site for you all to read. (because I'm so generous!)
I've just been looking at my web site's access counter statistics, and for some unknown reason the most popular day of the week people use it is Wednesday. I mean, I get up to 100 more people visiting on wednesdays!!! Why? I'm so confused!!!
Anyway, keep up the good work with GAZ and please put some kind of artice in the next issue prompting readers to submit their transcriptions to The Gary Moore Guitar Techniques Site, PLEASE!!! Thanks.
Bye!

Subject: Re: GAZ Newsflash!
Please elaborate on your statement
that Mr Moore "has changed to a new
style".
WHY ????? Why change the best
Blues / Rock style of a master ???
Please desribe what you mean.
Comment from Ole-Johan:
The new album will feature a style
of music that we haven't heard Gary play before. As most recall Gary doesn't
stick to the same style of any album. What I have understood of Gary's
behavior is that he always seeks for new challanges. His is like us, if
you get bored with your job, you will quit and find a new interesting job.
I haven't heard any tracks of the album myself yet, so I can't give you
description of the style he plays on the album. Since he have changed
the style, I think it's fair that you will hear the alum and make up your
mind about the style.
