Is's alive! It's alive! Muahahaha - Fudge
After a too long silence, the page has been updated. I am truly sorry, I did not plan for this to happen, but as I'm sure you all know, Real Life has a way of popping up when you least expect it.

I have been looking at Presto Pack 0.94 for a while, and been trying to get my HUDs to keep working even after the new version is installed.

Tribes Reporter - Fudge
I had an idea a few nights ago. I thought it would be really cool if I could have an IRC bot connect to a tribes server and report all that happened in the game to an IRC channel of my choice. Well, after some fiddling and searching for documentation, I have something working. A small perl script that does exactly this. No server modifications neccesary. Let me know if you want to help me with this project, since I'm not a perl guru. I have some more features I want to implement before releasing this to the public. But, even though I haven't been all that active in the tribes scene lately, I will get this done. Trust me on this.

HUD Mover - Fudge
HUD Mover from Zear is out, so I'll be adding support for this great script to all my HUDs the next couple of days.

OrderHUD - Fudge
This probably has most use if you play Tribes seriously. If you get orders during the match and you're easily distracted while playing (like me :-) this is for you. It shows the last message from your team with your name in it, or any message you press "Command Acknowledged" after.

Demo coding - Fudge
After some talking to a friend we agreed that it would be cool to make a demo running under Tribes. So, I started coding away, and I managed to create a smooth scroller running in Tribes. If anyone has any ideas for what this can be used for, feel free to let me know at fudge@c2i.net. Next up, a sine scroller. ;-)

Two new scripts in the works - Fudge
This time I'm making a couple of scripts which don't have much use on public servers, but I think they will be pretty useful in scrimmages and OGL matches.

Gender Bender - Fudge
It seems all your killers were turning up as 'her' in my TinyNotifyHUD. I didn't notice this, since I was hosting my own game when testing, and in that case it works. I have removed the gender calls completely, so the text is a bit more boring, but at least it doesn't bug out.

Sticky HUD - Fudge
Hopefully I have found the problem with the TinyNotifyHUD getting stuck and not disappearing once in a while. Let me know if you still have this problem.

Hosting troubles - Fudge
My ISP suddenly decided to deny me access to their FTP site today, so although I fixed a couple of problems with TinyNotifyHUD today, I am unable to put them here before tomorrow morning. I'll put up a new version tomorrow morning when I get to work

News section added - Fudge
Just got back from a TNT meeting in Sweden, so now things will be progressing again, after a weekend of relaxing (read: serious partying. ;-).

Tiny update - Fudge
Due to being stressed before leaving for Sweden on friday, a small bug managed to sneak into the readme's of all my HUDs. This has now been fixed, and all archives have been updated. Don't bother downloading the update unless you had problems figuring out how to install the HUDs.

TinyCapHUD v0.1
2. July 1999
TinyCapHUD
Shows flag captures. The flag changes color to green if you're winning, and red if you're losing. Uses Zear's NewOpts for easy configuration.
TinyKillHUD v0.1
2. July 1999
TinyKillHUD
Keeps track of your kills and deaths. The icon changes into a cheesy white blob if you die more times than you have killed. Uses Zear's NewOpts for easy configuration.
TinyNotifyHUD v0.2
7. July 1999
TinyNotifyHUD Pops up a small HUD with information each time someone captures the flag, you kill someone, or someone kills you. Also uses Zear's NewOpts for easy positioning.
ScrollHUD
Not released
Smooth scrolls some text across your screen. Haven't really thought much about what kind of uses this thing has, since it needs a lot of processing power, but I thought it might be cool to have a personalized scrolling message next the Presto banners.
OrderHUD
Not released
Opens up a HUD showing the last message from your team with your name in it, or any message you acknowledge. The HUD stays on screen reminding you of what to do until you dismiss it.
Reporter
Not released
A perl script that connects to a tribes client and reports everything that happens in a game to an IRC channel of your choice. It slices, it dices, it even tracks CTF scores.

All of these were written after having seen |HH|Crunchy's ItemHUD. It's small, compact, and it does the job. But, since it didn't show kills, deaths or caps, I thought I'd make my own simple and small hud to learn a bit about Tribes scripting. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. My two small HUD's combined with ItemHUD looks like this:

Kinda nice, eh? ;-)
