On Saturday May 4th well over 2,000 hempsters showed for the New Paltz Leg of MMM and RAR III - from 2pm to
6pm & 7pm to 11pm at The Old Main QUAD on SUNY at New Paltz campus - The school never smelled so good!

MMM bands included: MessenJah, The Studio Stankers, and Apple Pickers Union.

Speakers were: Rob Robinson (New Paltz NORML, NY State CAN, HVHC etc), Garrit Cain (SU-SSDP), Sean Silverman (New Paltz NORML), Sir Edmund The Green (local activist)and Scott Jeffery (Libritarian Candidate for Gov. of NY). their were no
(NO) police at all - through the whole day!

At 6pm we assembyled the troops and marched through the village of New Paltz

This was a great march with towns people, store owners and workers and drivers shouting, honking and smiling support at us.

-The march got 1/3 bigger picking up folks on the way - marchers totaled over 500 - we marched back to Old Main QUAD for the 7-11pm RAR III where Tony Vacca and World Rythems w/ Gokh-Bi System performed - The headliners were Toots &
The Maytals - and what a performance and show - speakers were Prof of Black Studies Zelbert Moore and School paper the Fahari editor in cheif Laurance Seeley. MC was Rob Robinson from New Paltz NORML the hosts of this great event - media was present local papers as well as TV - was a fun and effective event - proud to be part of the over 180 world wide - what an
event in a quiet up-state college town - wakein them up in up state
