What is this campaign and why was it started?

The Allen Iverson campaign is a way of gathering Iverson fans across the globe - you don't have to run a website about Allen to become a member, all you have to do is to add the Campaign's HTML to your main page. Everyone who visits your site will see the animated button and think..."He's an Iverson-fan". The more sites supporting the Iverson Campaign by putting the button up on their website, the more powerful Iverson Campaign will become. My dream is that the Campaign button will one day be seen at as many websites as possible.

I wanted to start the Iverson campaign to gather Iverson fans. 'Cause I know that there are a lot of webmasters out there who like Iverson but who doesn't have enough time to create an Iverson site. Instead, they can join the Campaign. Of course Iverson-sites also can join the campaign. You might wonder why it says: "Justice for Iverson NOW!"...Well that's because I'm sick and tired of seeing Iverson getting bad looks for his personality and style of play. I mean, look what the NBA star-factory are doing with my man right now; They're trying to hold him down. Because of his lifestyle and behaviour he might not be marketable enough for the league, and you know what they do? Dump him. Here are a few examples:
  • He got banned for wearing ancle braces.I mean, what the f*k is that all about? Let the man wear whatever he wants on the court as long as he wears his team uniform. Damn.
  • What's the deal about his crossover being "outside the rules"? He has the quickest and best crossover in the game and there's absolutely nothing illegal with it.
  • Iverson was not selected to the All Star game (by the coaches), nor to the Dream Team. There were a lot of players on those teams who weren't even close to playing at Iverson's level.
  • Folks keep bringing up that Bowling Alley Brawl incident. Who haven't made mistakes when they were younger? He has matured since then, and he knows that what he did was wrong.
  • Then there's his "Posse". OK, those are his friends and family. They might not wear suits but they are normal people. Why care who his friends are? They are decent people.
  • He might shoot the ball too much, but he knows it and he's working on it. He has quite a lot of assists too, don't forget that...

All you have to do to become a member is to put the a small HTML onto your main page. You will then show your support for Iverson in a small but important way.
