One day after school, his friends visited him and they began to work on a new demo. this being the future, computers could do almost anything so it was kinda hard to decide what he demo should do. Should they make the computer mobile and run around the town telling everyone how great the Teraoctamega Disk Violators were, or should the demo make the computer fix some nice girls for the members? After discussing it the rest of the evening they decided to have the demo make the computer run around town and insert diskettes with the demo in all the other computers it could find. Ken started coding at once and didn't get to bed before eight o'clock and that's when he was going to get up for school so he didn't get to bed at all actually.

On his way to school he walked past some of the big computer stores and looked in to see if he could get a glimpse of the latest models. One could get computers for anything these days. Ken was especially interested in a cybernoid model called Tanisha. Yes, you guessed it. a walking humanoid that looked, talked, walked and dressed like a beautiful girl. He didn't dare to tell the other guys about his secret passion because he was afraid that they would just laugh and kick him out of the group. Anyway, Ken had saved most of the money he had for a long time and he didn't need much more to purchase the cybernoid. it wasn't like he wanted her just for the sex (like you're thinking) but these cybernoids had immense capabilities and he could code almost anything on them. Imagine a demo that made a humanoid behave like the most beautiful girl one could imagine! That would be something to beat the Snyderberries on the next demo competition. The snyderberries were the biggest big-mouth group and they told everyone that they were the best at everything. Ken knew that they really wasn't that good at anything, except ass-kissing, and bragging about how good they were. It was just a big group with a lot of contacts.

The school day passed and on his way home Ken stopped at the front of the store that sold the Tanisha humanoids. Ken walked in and stopped one of the shop assistants.

If I purchase one of those Tanisha models this week, will I get the Personality Module for free?

The shop assistant didn't think Ken was actually going to buy anything

The personality module enabled the owner of the humanoid to redo some of the design of the cybernoid so that it would become unique. Ken left the store and headed home.

After dinner he went straight back to the console and continued coding on the demo. He wished he had that cybernoid now. Then he wouldn't be coding on this lousy mobile cpr-x33 module. He opened his safe and took out all of his money and started counting them. Nope, still needed about 200 credits. Darn... Suddenly he got a brilliant idea. Roger, that's the man I need. Roger was the hacker in the group and he owed Ken a couple of favours. He connected the modem and dialed Rogers number. Roger was asleep but calmed down when he saw that it was Ken.

About them favours you owe me..I need your help right now.. It has been over a year since i coded that protocol enhancer for you, remember? Awrite Roger replied, What do you want ?

You know Paraplex Computers up on 150th avenue? Yeah, sure Roger answered. Well I need to buy some, ehrm, hardware there now and I need an account with like 300 credits on it

Ken hoped that he wouldn't turn him down even if he knew that breaking in to the computer stores was almost impossible

Sure Roger smiled No problem. Be there in half an hour!

Ken dropped the carrier and quickly put all his money into a container and went out. It took about half an hour to walk to the store so when he got there it was about time to strike. He walked in and stopped the same shop assistant.

Oh it's you again, eyh? If you're looking for spare parts try the shop across the street!

The assistant didn't like kids hanging around his respectable store.

I'm thinking of buying that Tanisha model now, Ken replied and showed him the money.

Sure you are, said the shop assistant, and that's real money,right ?

It is! said Ken, and if you won't sell it to me, mister boogey-face, I'll go to another store!

The assistant put on a smile that went all around his head and walked over to the cash register. The staff immediately began to carry out the boxes for the humanoid.

I'll set up an account for you said the assistant.

No need said Ken I already have one

Hmmm. Really ? What's your name then? the assistant typed furiously on the terminal Nope. No sign of your name in our files

Shit! Roger didn't make it! What was ken going to do now? He would be kicked out of the store and never let in again for the rest of his life.

No wait said the assistant Here it is! And it has a credit of 300 too. Have you bought something from this store before?

Ken began to sweat heavily Erhm. No, from one of your shops in Melinga

Oh. Yeah, well, that must be it

Phewww. That was close. The assistant loaded the humanoid on to a trolley which Ken promised to return the next day. It was already dark outside and the trolley was quite heavy.
